A minigame of the TikForge mod for GTA V Legacy: your live's audience moves the campaign missions forward or back.
GTA V Story is the GTA V campaign (69 missions, Prologue included, like the game's own completion count) driven by your audience: with your live's gifts, follows and likes the Advance mission and Go back a mission actions move the story forward or back, and the game really loads the chosen mission. The number shown is how many missions have been done: 0 means you are playing the Prologue, 69 means the story is finished. There are no wins: all that matters is how far you got.
With GTA V open in offline Story mode and the TikForge app connected:
The same submenu holds Check the savegame, which changes nothing and writes to the log which of the 69 missions are completed, and the Fast mission change switch (see below).
In the app, Actions and Events tab, the game to pick is Storia GTA V (the one that used to be called “GTA V” is now Monte Chiliad). The usual scheme applies: new action → game Storia GTA V → action → event (gift, follow, like…) in the selected profile. Up to 5 actions in the same row.
| Action | Parameter | Category |
|---|---|---|
AdvanceMissionAdvance mission | missions 1-69 (empty = 1) | Story |
RetreatMissionGo back a mission | missions 1-69 (empty = 1) | Story |
The Amount is how many missions to move: 1 to 69. The counter never leaves 0 (Prologue) and 69 (story finished). Besides these two actions Story has all the others from Mount Chiliad (the same catalogue of 79: vehicles, wanted level, weather, enemies…), listed in the Mount Chiliad Run guide. If Story is not started, Advance and Go back do nothing and the game says so on screen.
From the command to the new mission the game does not just skip: it really loads the chosen mission through the Replay Mission (right character, place, time, weapons and unlocks), so the mission's mechanics do not break.
The Replay Mission rewinds the campaign in memory to replay a mission, and the fast change does it several times without reloading the game: “dirty” statistics and unlocks stay in memory. The mod does not touch your savegame on disk, but if you save the game after using Story (by hand or with autosave) you could save that data.
Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles).| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Story does not start | The Prologue is not completed in the savegame (a finished story is required: check pause → Replay Mission), the GTA version is not 1.0.3889 (it says so on screen), or the installed mod is old and has no Story: update it from the app. |
| Black screen for a long time after Start or after a change | Wait: loading can take up to 60 seconds. Do not press anything and do not close the game. If it stays frozen longer, turn Fast mission change off and try again. |
| Enemies, vehicles or screen elements of the previous mission stay | Turn Fast mission change off in the Story menu: the change then goes through the game's full restore, slower but clean. |
| At startup GTA asks to restore a “backup” | It is the Replay Mission slot (MISREP0000), left behind because GTA closed in the middle of a replay. The app removes it by itself when GTA is closed: you do not have to do anything. It is not your savegame. |
| Advance and Go back do nothing | Story is not started (start it from the mod menu) or the app or the live is not connected. Check the log. |
| Where is the log? | %LOCALAPPDATA%\TikForge\TikForge.log: look for the lines starting with Storia:. The minigame state is in TikForge.storia.json, in the same folder: delete it to start from scratch. |
