Nitro Trail is the off-road race for your live: a buggy on a hilly track that crosses four worlds, from the start to the finish. You drive it; the audience pushes it. Every gift is a character that comes on stage and sends the buggy forward or back by so many metres: helpers and obstacles that add up while you race. It runs in the browser: open games.tikforge.net/en/games/nitro-trail in a tab (or as a Browser Source in OBS or TikTok Live Studio), with nothing to download.

The live connection is the same as every web game: just open the page while logged in and press Connect Live in the dashboard. There is nothing to set up in Actions & Events: the rules are written inside the game.

How to play

You drive the buggy with the keyboard, the mouse or your finger (see The controls): you accelerate, brake, reverse and, when it jumps, straighten its nose in the air. The default track is 5000 metres long and crosses four worlds, one after the other: the Autumn Woods, the Glowing Swamp, the Cliffs and the Moon. The hills grow the further you go.

Reaching the finish is worth +1 WIN: there is a celebration and a new track starts. WINs stay from one game to the next; at the top it reads “WIN 3 / 10”, with the goal you choose, and when you reach it you get the message and the fanfare.

Below zero, behind the start, there is the barrier (at 2500 metres by default). The buggy cannot get past it: backward pushes that find no more road wear it down. When its life reaches zero it blows up: −1 WIN, the buggy returns to the start and the barrier rebuilds.

At the bottom is the route map: the real profile of this track's hills, from the start to the chequered flag, with the world you are in and how far along you are. Below zero it shows how many metres are left to the barrier. At the top are the WINs and the metres covered, with how many are left to the finish. If the buggy rolls over and stays upside down, the game sets it back on its wheels a bit further back.

The characters

Every action brings in a character, with the metres you give it. Under 150 metres it is a push along the ground; from 150 up the character picks up the buggy and flies it to where it has to land. Several identical gifts in a row count several times: the metres multiply.

Helpers (forward)Obstacles (back)
Ram: charges from behind and headbutts.Boar: charges from the front and knocks it back.
Mole: raises a mound ahead, run-up and jump.Pumpkin: falls further ahead, bounces, rolls in and splats on impact.
Nitro: a canister ignites on the buggy and shoots it forward.Bat: swoops from the front, grabs it and carries it back.
Drone: drops from the sky, hooks on and carries it forward fast.Catapult: sets up in front and fires; the hit lands at the end.
Stork: comes down from above, ties up the buggy and carries it far.Swarm: a front of bees starts far away, arrives and drags it back.
Fireworks: a rocket strapped to the roof; the fuse burns, then it shoots the buggy forward and bursts in the sky.Bomb: floats down by parachute in front, the fuse burns and it knocks the buggy back.
Helicopter: comes from behind, lowers the net, hooks on and carries it forward.Tornado: a twister sucks the buggy in, spins it and carries it back.
Tow truck: hooks the nose and tows it forward, on the ground.Steamroller: shoves it back along the ground, slow and heavy.

Besides the characters, an action can give or take WINs, without moving the buggy.

The audience actions

In the Actions tab every line says: when this arrives, that happens. Helpers are on one side, obstacles on the other. The active actions show on screen in the gift list, so viewers know what to send: a column of helpers and one of obstacles at the sides of the buggy, or a row below. Tap a gift in the list to test it.

When it arrivesHow it works
GiftFires with that gift. Several identical gifts in a row count several times. Each gift sits on one action only.
FollowFires on every new follow.
Tap tapTaps add up and the action fires every so many (every 100 by default).
ShareFires on every share.
What happensEffect
CharacterThe chosen character arrives and sends the buggy forward (helpers) or back (obstacles) by the metres you write.
WINGives WINs; a number below zero takes them away.

These are the starting actions. The same price is worth the same forward and back, and whoever spends more does more:

HelpersObstacles
Rose: Ram, +50 metresGG: Boar, −50 metres
Perfume: Mole, +200 metresS Flowers: Pumpkin, −200 metres
Confetti: Nitro, +1000 metresHat and Mustache: Bat, −1000 metres
Corgi: Drone, +3000 metresBoxing Gloves: Catapult, −3000 metres
Gold Microphone: Stork, +5000 metresCoral: Swarm, −5000 metres
Money Gun: +5 WINLion's Mane: −5 WIN
Gerry the Giraffe: +10 WINGalaxy: −10 WIN
Leon the Kitten: +60 WINPrivate Jet: −60 WIN

Gifts that no action takes do not move the buggy: you find them at the bottom of the Actions tab, under Seen live, and one tap turns them into an action.

The settings

The gear opens the settings, split into six tabs. Changes apply right away.

TabWhat it holds
GameThe track (how far the finish line is, from 500 to 50,000 metres, and how many metres are lost on a rollover), the camera distance, the on-screen text to put back in place, a new game, the controls and how the game works. Changing the finish line restarts on a new track.
WINThe current WINs, to fix by hand, the goal and the button that sets them back to zero.
ActionsThe gift list (at the sides, below or hidden, how big it is, how far from the centre and at what height), the helpers, the obstacles and the gifts seen live without an action.
BarrierWhether it is on, how many metres below zero it stands and how much life it has. Off, the limit stays but there is no damage and no penalty.
AudioThe volume and, separately, the engine volume. Every sound is made by the game.
TestAll the characters and WINs to try with one tap, the burst of gifts and a simulated stream that runs by itself.

The controls

  • W, D, right or up arrow — forward. In the air it lowers the nose.
  • S, A, left or down arrow — brake and reverse. In the air it raises the nose.
  • With the mouse or a finger: hold the right half of the screen to go forward, the left half to go back. Or use the two pedals at the bottom right, brake (S) and accelerator (W).
  • Mouse wheel over the game: zooms the camera in and out.
  • The on-screen text (WIN, metres, map and gift): drag it with the mouse and resize it with the wheel; a double click puts it back in place.
  • Icons: settings, pause, sound on or off, full screen.
  • WIN to zero, at the bottom left: sets the WINs back to zero. It takes two taps: the first one asks “Sure?”.
  • Gifts in the list: tapped, they trigger their action with a fake viewer.
  • Esc — closes the settings.

In a wide window the buttons sit at the edges of the screen and the game in the middle: on stream, show only the central part.

Good to know

  • Settings and WINs are saved in the browser you play in: opening the game from another browser or PC starts from the defaults.
  • During the finish-line celebration gifts wait, and the same goes for right after the barrier blows up: they arrive just after, nothing is lost.
  • With lots of gifts at once identical characters queue up, and the metres of those that find no room are added to one already on its way: they are not lost.
  • The simulation does not start with the live connected: fake gifts in front of a real audience would be a trick.
  • With the Free plan you get 5 actions at most: the extra ones stay in the list, disabled.
  • The live status is at the top: Live, Not live, or Log in to connect your live if the page is not open while logged in.
  • You need a subscription or the trial: Nitro Trail is part of the TikForge catalog, so the game asks for access.
